Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

(Ayah 166) ➊ { وَ تَذَرُوْنَ مَا خَلَقَ لَكُمْ رَبُّكُمْ … :} This verse can also have two meanings: one is that, in order to fulfill this desire, you leave the wives whom Allah Almighty has created for you and go to men. In this case, {’’ مَا ‘‘} is explanatory, and the translation has been done accordingly. The second meaning is that, from among your wives, do you leave what your Lord has created for you? That is, instead of the front, you fulfill your desire in an unnatural way. In this case, {’’ مَا ‘‘} is partitive. It is not unlikely that those people did this act to avoid having children.

{بَلْ اَنْتُمْ قَوْمٌ عٰدُوْنَ :} That is, not only in this matter but in every matter, exceeding the limits has become your habit, as He said: «{ اَئِنَّکُمْ لَتَاْتُوْنَ الرِّجَالَ وَ تَقْطَعُوْنَ السَّبِيْلَ وَ تَاْتُوْنَ فِيْ نَادِيْكُمُ الْمُنْكَرَ [ العنکبوت : ۲۹ ] "Do you indeed approach men and cut off the road and commit evil in your gatherings?" In our era, European people have gone so far in opposing nature that they have legally permitted the act of the people of Lot and have started marrying men to men. Although Allah's whip of punishment is striking them in the form of new and new diseases, it is not unlikely that Allah Almighty may send upon them such a punishment that will be a lesson for the world.

Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

166-1. This was the worst habit of the people of Lut, which originated with this very nation. That is why this evil act is referred to as "Liwat" (sodomy), meaning the immoral act that began with the people of Lut. But now this immorality is common throughout the world; in fact, in Europe, it has even been legally recognized, meaning that for them, it is not considered a sin at all. When a nation’s temperament has become so corrupted that illicit sexual relations between a man and a woman (provided it is with mutual consent) is not considered a crime in their view, then how can the act of sodomy between two men be considered a sin and unlawful there? May Allah protect us from it. 16-6.

2. ‘Aadoon’ is the plural of ‘Aad’. In Arabic, ‘Aad’ means one who exceeds the limits, that is, one who abandons the truth for falsehood and abandons the lawful for the unlawful. Allah Almighty has made it lawful to fulfill sexual desires through the private parts of a woman via lawful marriage, and has forbidden the use of a man’s anus for this purpose. The people of Lut abandoned the private parts of women and used the anuses of men for this act, and thus they exceeded the limits.

Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
