Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

(Ayah 113,112) {قَالَ وَ مَا عِلْمِيْ بِمَا كَانُوْا يَعْمَلُوْنَ …:} That is, my concern is only to show the way of Allah, not to be involved with their professions. Whatever work they do for earning, or whichever profession they adopt, if it is permissible, then because of their being believers, they are superior to those arrogant wealthy people who are bent on disobeying Allah. Or it means that how do I know what their deeds are like; I am to look at their apparent faith, their intentions are known to Allah, He alone will take their account. Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: [ أُمِرْتُ أَنْ أُقَاتِلَ النَّاسَ حَتّٰی يَشْهَدُوْا أَنْ لَّا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللّٰهُ وَ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا رَّسُوْلُ اللّٰهِ، وَ يُقِيْمُوا الصَّلَاةَ، وَ يُؤْتُوا الزَّكَاةَ، فَإِذَا فَعَلُوْا ذٰلِكَ عَصَمُوْا مِنِّيْ دِمَاءَهُمْ وَ أَمْوَالَهُمْ إِلَّا بِحَقِّ الْإِسْلَامِ وَ حِسَابُهُمْ عَلَی اللّٰهِ ] [ بخاري، الإیمان، باب فإن تابوا و أقاموا الصلاۃ : ۲۵ ] "I have been commanded to fight the people until they testify that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, and establish prayer and give zakat. If they do this, they have protected their blood and their wealth from me except for the right of Islam, and their account is with Allah."

Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. 1. That is, I have not been made responsible for investigating people's lineage, wealth or poverty, and their professions; rather, my responsibility is only to invite to faith, and whoever accepts it, no matter what status he holds, I should include him in my community.
