Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim — Hafiz Abdus Salam Bin Muhammad Bhutvi
Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
(Ayah 6) ➊ { قُلْاَنْزَلَهُالَّذِيْيَعْلَمُالسِّرَّفِيالسَّمٰوٰتِوَالْاَرْضِ:} This was said in response to their lies and fabrications: Look at the Qur’an itself, what does it contain? Is there anything in it that is false or contrary to reality? Certainly not; rather, every statement is absolutely true and authentic, because the One who revealed it is the One who possesses complete knowledge not only of the apparent matters of the earth and the heavens, but also of all hidden matters. He knows the past, the present, and the future. Therefore, in the book He revealed, there are accounts of previous times, of the present, and of the future, and none of these have been or will be proven false. Whoever does not know all the secrets of the heavens and the earth cannot produce a book like this, nor even a single surah like it. If you insist that this is not the word of Allah but the composition of a servant, then you too should bring forth a surah in comparison.
➋ { اِنَّهٗكَانَغَفُوْرًارَّحِيْمًا :} This is the answer to the question: If He possesses knowledge of all things, then He is also capable of everything, so why does He not immediately seize these people for their denial, arrogance, and mockery? It is said, the reason is that {’’ اِنَّهٗكَانَ ‘‘} meaning He is always the One who greatly conceals the sins of His servants, the One who is perpetually merciful. If He wished, He could have given them a severe punishment for this insolence, but He is Forgiving and Merciful, so He is pardoning you. In this, there is encouragement for them to repent, turn back, and return to Islam and guidance. Shah Abdul Qadir (may Allah have mercy on him) writes: “That is, (the One who knows the hidden matters of the heavens and the earth) has revealed it only out of His forgiveness and mercy.” (Mawdih) That is, His forgiveness and mercy are the reason for revealing this Qur’an.
Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan — Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf
Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
6-1 In response to their lies and fabrications, it was said: Look at the Qur'an, what is in it? Is there anything in it that is wrong or contrary to reality? Certainly not, rather every statement is absolutely correct and true, because the One who revealed it is the Being who knows every hidden matter of the heavens and the earth.
Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran — Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani
Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
6. Say to them: It is He who knows the secrets [9] of the heavens and the earth who has sent it (the Qur’an) down. Surely, He is Most Forgiving, Most Merciful.
[9] Only One Allah Can Be the Sender of the Quran:
After this, only one possibility remains: that this Quran has been revealed by such an informed and wise Being who is thoroughly aware of past events and also knows well the schemes of these Jews and Christians. He is fully aware of the present circumstances as well, and according to the time, place, and conditions, He sends down such commands that are entirely based on justice and wisdom, and the events that will occur in the future are also before Him. Then, His manner of address is most captivating and, in terms of impact, penetrates deep into the heart. And it is impossible to produce speech like it in comparison, and that can only be the Being of Allah Almighty.
