Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

(Ayah 24) ➊ { اَصْحٰبُ الْجَنَّةِ يَوْمَىِٕذٍ خَيْرٌ مُّسْتَقَرًّا …:} Along with the mention of the people of Hell, the people of Paradise are mentioned, that on that day, in terms of abode, they will be far better than the disbelievers and in terms of resting place, much superior. Here a question arises: on the Day of Resurrection, there will be no existence of good for the disbelievers, so what does it mean that the people of Paradise will be better than them in abode and resting place? The answer is that in the world, the disbelievers had comforts and luxuries, but on that day, the people of Paradise will be in abodes and resting places far better than those, or this statement is made as sarcasm towards the people of Hell.

{ اَحْسَنُ مَقِيْلًا :} The literal meaning of {’’ مَقِيْلًا ‘‘ } is "the place for taking a nap," and "qailulah" refers to resting at noon during the heat. In the explanation of this verse, Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) says: [ لَا يَنْتَصِفُ النَّهَارُ مِنْ يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ حَتّٰی يَقِيْلَ هٰؤُلَاءِ وَ هٰؤُلَاءِ ثُمَّ قَرَأَ : «{ اِنَّ مَرْجِعَهُمْ لَاۡاِلَى الْجَحِيْمِ ] [ مستدرک حاکم : 402/2، ح : ۳۵۱۶، صححہ الحاکم و وافقہ الذھبي ] "On the Day of Resurrection, it will not yet be noon when these people and those people will be resting at noon, then (regarding the disbelievers) he recited this verse: «{اِنَّ مَرْجِعَهُمْ لَاۡاِلَى الْجَحِيْمِ [ الصافات : ۶۸ ] 'Indeed, their return is surely to the blazing Fire.'"

Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

24-1. Some have also deduced from this that for the people of faith, this terrifying Day of Judgment will be so brief and their reckoning so easy that by the time of the afternoon nap, they will be finished and will be resting in Paradise with their families and the maidens with beautiful eyes at noon, just as it is mentioned in the hadith that for the believer, this day will be so light that it will be like the time it takes to perform one obligatory prayer in the world (Musnad Ahmad-475).

Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

24. On that Day, the dwellers of Paradise will have the best abode and the best place for rest [34] at noon.

[34] The Day of Resurrection, according to our current reckoning, is a day of fifty thousand years. That day will also have a noon and an evening. It is mentioned in a hadith that Allah Almighty will finish the reckoning of people before noon. The people of Paradise will enter Paradise, and the people of Hell will enter Hell, and from this verse it is understood that the people of Paradise will go to sleep in Paradise after noon. Because "Qaylulah" refers to sleeping after noon, and "Maqīlan" refers to the place of sleeping after noon. It is also mentioned in a hadith that for the believers or the people of Paradise, this day of fifty thousand years will feel as light as the time of an obligatory prayer.
