لَّا تَدْعُوا۟ ٱلْيَوْمَ ثُبُورًا وَٰحِدًا وَٱدْعُوا۟ ثُبُورًا كَثِيرًا ﴿14﴾
Exclaim not today for one destruction, but exclaim for many destructions.

14-1. That is, when the people of Hell, distressed by the torment of Hell, will wish that if only death would come to them, that they may be annihilated. Then it will be said to them that now do not call for one death, but call for many deaths. The meaning is that now, for you, there are various kinds of punishments forever, that is, deaths upon deaths; how long will you keep demanding death?

(It will be said to them,) "Do not call for one death today, but call for many deaths [18]."

[18] Why do you cry out for one death today? Even if you ask for hundreds of deaths, your cries will be in vain. They will wish that if they could die once, they would be freed from this torment. They will long to be saved from the miserable state caused by dying a thousand times a day, but this plea will be completely fruitless.
