Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim — Hafiz Abdus Salam Bin Muhammad Bhutvi
Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
(Ayah 89) ➊ {سَيَقُوْلُوْنَلِلّٰهِ :} That is, they will say its Owner is also Allah alone. ➋ The literal meaning of { قُلْفَاَنّٰىتُسْحَرُوْنَ : ’’ تُسْحَرُوْنَ ‘‘} is "you are being bewitched." The effect of magic is on the mind; a person is deceived. The meaning is: then from where are your senses being lost and how have you lost your wits that you cannot understand such an obvious thing? When He alone is the Owner of the heavens and the earth and the Mighty Throne, and everything is in His possession and control, then how can anyone else become a partner in worship, and where will the bones and fragments of your body go out of His power and control that He will not be able to resurrect them? ➌ From this verse, it is known that the belief of the polytheists of Arabia was that if Allah seizes someone, no one can grant refuge and rescue him, and if He grants refuge to someone, no one can harm him. But unfortunately, some who call themselves Muslims have gone so far in shirk that they have made the creation even more powerful than the Creator. Thus, a poet who makes such claims has said: God may seize someone, Muhammad can rescue him, But no one can rescue from Muhammad's grasp. The strange thing is that despite this clear shirk and severe disrespect to Allah, they insist that they are the highest level of Muslims. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: [ لَاتُطْرُوْنِيْكَمَاأَطْرَتِالنَّصَارَیابْنَمَرْيَمَفَإِنَّمَاأَنَاعَبْدُهُفَقُوْلُوْاعَبْدُاللّٰهِوَرَسُوْلُهُ ][بخاري، أحادیث الأنبیاء، باب قول اللہ تعالٰی : « واذکر في الکتاب مریم…» : ۳۴۴۵ ] "Do not exaggerate about me as the Christians exaggerated about the son of Mary. I am only His servant, so say: I am the servant of Allah and His Messenger."
Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan — Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf
Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
98-1 That is, then what has happened to your intellects that despite this acknowledgment and knowledge, you associate others with Him in His worship? From this explicit statement of the Noble Quran, it is clear that the polytheists of Makkah did not deny Allah’s Lordship, His being the Creator, Owner, and Provider; rather, they accepted all these things. They only denied the Oneness of Worship (Tawheed al-Uluhiyyah). That is, they did not worship only Allah, but associated others with Him in worship—not because anyone else shared in the creation or management of the heavens and the earth, but only due to this misconception that these were Allah’s righteous servants, Allah had given them authority, and through them, they would attain closeness to Allah.
Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran — Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani
Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
89. They will immediately say, "Allah alone." Say, "Then how are you deluded [86]?"
[86] The Result of Multiple Gods is the Disruption of the Order of the Universe:
The disbelievers of Makkah also admitted that the ownership of everything and complete authority and power over it belongs only to Allah. Yet, by associating others with Allah’s authority and control, they themselves contradicted what they had already accepted. Allah Almighty addresses these polytheists and asks: You call your Prophet sometimes a sorcerer and sometimes one who is bewitched, but in reality, it is not the Prophet who is bewitched, rather, you yourselves are under a spell. You deny a truth that you yourselves acknowledge. What you consider to be reality is nothing but your false beliefs. Despite acknowledging the truth, the truth remains hidden from you. What kind of magic has overtaken you?
