Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

(Ayah 110) ➊ The literal meaning of {فَاتَّخَذْتُمُوْهُمْ سِخْرِيًّا …: ’’ حَتّٰۤى اَنْسَوْكُمْ ذِكْرِيْ ‘‘} is that they made you forget My remembrance. That is, you pursued them so persistently and mocked them to such an extent as if they became the cause for you to forget My remembrance. (Shawkani)
{ وَ كُنْتُمْ مِّنْهُمْ تَضْحَكُوْنَ :} See Surah Al-Mutaffifin (29 to 36).

Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

But you used to mock them [103] so much so that it made you forget My remembrance, and you used to laugh at them.

[103] Because your condition in the world was such that when My sincere servants would pray and seek forgiveness before you, or worship Me, you would laugh at them. You mocked them so much and ridiculed their good qualities to such an extent that, by constantly pursuing them, you even forgot My remembrance. And you were not even aware that there is such a Being above you who is always watching your deeds. And He is also capable of punishing you for your mischief.
