Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim — Hafiz Abdus Salam Bin Muhammad Bhutvi
Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
(Ayah 101) ➊ { فَاِذَانُفِخَفِيالصُّوْرِفَلَاۤاَنْسَابَبَيْنَهُمْ:} By lineage is meant the kinship that is obtained due to birth. By {’’ بَيْنَهُمْ ‘‘} is meant the disbelievers, because their mention was mentioned previously. After the realm of Barzakh, when the trumpet will be blown for people to rise alive from their graves, all mutual kinship ties among the disbelievers will be severed. This does not mean that no one will remain someone’s father or son or brother, but it means that the help given to each other due to this kinship will not exist, as He said: «يَوْمَيَفِرُّالْمَرْءُمِنْاَخِيْهِ (34) وَاُمِّهٖوَاَبِيْهِ (35) وَصَاحِبَتِهٖوَبَنِيْهِ (36) لِكُلِّامْرِئٍمِّنْهُمْيَوْمَىِٕذٍشَاْنٌيُّغْنِيْهِ»[عبس: ۳۴ تا ۳۷ ] “The Day when a man will flee from his brother. And from his mother and his father. And from his wife and his sons. That Day, for each one of them will be a matter preoccupying him.” This will be the state of the criminals, as He said: «يَوَدُّالْمُجْرِمُلَوْيَفْتَدِيْمِنْعَذَابِيَوْمِىِٕذٍۭبِبَنِيْهِ (11) وَصَاحِبَتِهٖوَاَخِيْهِ (12) وَفَصِيْلَتِهِالَّتِيْتُـْٔوِيْهِ (13) وَمَنْفِيالْاَرْضِجَمِيْعًاثُمَّيُنْجِيْهِ »[ المعارج : ۱۱ تا ۱۴ ] “The criminal will wish that he could ransom himself from the punishment of that Day by his children. And his wife and his brother. And his kindred who sheltered him. And all who are on earth, so that it might save him.” This will happen at the time of the blowing of the trumpet. Even afterwards, the state of the disbelievers will remain the same. However, the believers will benefit from their kinship and also from friendship, as He said: «وَالَّذِيْنَاٰمَنُوْاوَاتَّبَعَتْهُمْذُرِّيَّتُهُمْبِاِيْمَانٍاَلْحَقْنَابِهِمْذُرِّيَّتَهُمْوَمَاۤاَلَتْنٰهُمْمِّنْعَمَلِهِمْمِّنْشَيْءٍ »[ الطور : ۲۱ ] “And those who believed and whose descendants followed them in faith, We will join their descendants with them, and We will not deprive them of anything of their deeds.” And regarding friendship, He said: « اَلْاَخِلَّآءُيَوْمَىِٕذٍۭبَعْضُهُمْلِبَعْضٍعَدُوٌّاِلَّاالْمُتَّقِيْنَ»[ الزخرف : ۶۷ ] “Close friends, that Day, will be enemies to each other, except for the righteous.”
➋ { وَلَايَتَسَآءَلُوْنَ :} Here is a question: it is said here that they will not ask one another, whereas elsewhere it is said: « وَاَقْبَلَبَعْضُهُمْعَلٰىبَعْضٍيَّتَسَآءَلُوْنَ »[ الصافآت : ۲۷ ] “And some of them will turn to others, questioning one another.” Why is this so? The answer is that the Day of Resurrection is a day of fifty thousand years. There will be different occasions and different states in it; in some states they will question each other and in some they will not. Therefore, there is no contradiction in these verses.

[98] On the Day of Resurrection, All Relationships Will Be Forgotten:
When the trumpet is blown for the second time, that very day will be the day when the dead will rise from their graves and be presented before Allah. This day is called the Day of Resurrection. Since this day, according to our current reckoning, will be fifty thousand years long, during this period, man will have to face many kinds of conditions and events. The state described in this verse is the initial state after being brought back to life. At that time, the terror and horror will be so intense that everyone will be concerned only about themselves; all relationships will be forgotten. Then, when every person will try to stay away and run from even their real relatives, asking about each other's condition will be out of the question.
