That is because Allâh - He is the Truth (the only True God of all that exists, Who has no partners or rivals with Him), and what they (the polytheists) invoke besides Him, it is Bâtil (falsehood). And verily, Allâh - He is the Most High, the Most Great.
ذَٰلِكَ dhālika That (is)
بِأَنَّ bi-anna because
ٱللَّهَ l-laha Allah
هُوَ huwa He
ٱلْحَقُّ l-ḥaqu (is) the Truth
وَأَنَّ wa-anna and that
مَا what
يَدْعُونَ yadʿūna they invoke
مِن min besides Him
دُونِهِۦ dūnihi besides Him
هُوَ huwa it
ٱلْبَـٰطِلُ l-bāṭilu (is) the falsehood
وَأَنَّ wa-anna And that
ٱللَّهَ l-laha Allah
هُوَ huwa He
ٱلْعَلِىُّ l-ʿaliyu (is) the Most High
ٱلْكَبِيرُ l-kabīru the Most Great

Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

(Ayah 62) ➊ {ذٰلِكَ بِاَنَّ اللّٰهَ هُوَ الْحَقُّ … :} This is the third reason for fulfilling the promise of helping the oppressed Muslims: that Allah alone is the true and rightful Lord. Whatever He wills, He does, so He will surely help His friends, and whatever else people call upon besides Him is false and baseless. They cannot even help themselves, so how could they help others? And why would Allah help His enemies against His friends?

{وَ اَنَّ اللّٰهَ هُوَ الْعَلِيُّ الْكَبِيْرُ :} The fourth reason for “Allah will surely help the oppressed Muslims” is that Allah alone is the Most High, all others are below, and He alone is the Most Great, all others are small, and none can rival Him.

Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

62. 1. Therefore, His religion is true, His worship is true, His promises are true, His help to His friends against their enemies is true, He—Allah عزوجل—is true in His essence, in His attributes, and in His actions.

Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

62. This is because Allah alone is the Truth, and whatever they call upon besides Him is all falsehood, and Allah alone is the Most High [91], the Most Great.

[91] Then, the Being who has the power to exercise such control over the universe, and in comparison to Him, no one else has even the slightest share in this control—rather, all apparent and hidden causes and their outcomes are under Allah’s sole control—then the truth is that one should call upon Allah alone for one’s needs. Because He alone is the greatest power, the Mighty, and He alone is the Greatest, who has taken every single thing in the universe under His authority and control. And those who, leaving such an All-Powerful Allah, call upon others, they are wrongdoers and in error. Because others have no power or control at all.
