Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

(Ayah 61) ➊ { ذٰلِكَ بِاَنَّ اللّٰهَ يُوْلِجُ الَّيْلَ فِي النَّهَارِ … :} That is, Allah Almighty, who helps the oppressed and the destitute, does so because it is not difficult for Him; He is capable of everything. He merges the night into the day, making the day prevail over the night and the day becomes longer, and He merges the day into the night, making the night prevail over the day and the night becomes longer. So, how can it be difficult for Him to make the oppressed prevail over the oppressors?

{ وَ اَنَّ اللّٰهَ سَمِيْعٌۢ بَصِيْرٌ :} That is, the second reason for Allah Almighty's help to the oppressed is that He is fully aware of everyone's condition, hearing and seeing everything. While hearing and seeing, how can He tolerate oppression?

Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

61. 1. That is, the One who is capable of acting in this manner, He is also capable of taking retribution from the oppressors on behalf of those servants of His who are wronged.

Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

61. This is because Allah alone merges the night into the day and the day into the night [90], and Allah is All-Hearing, All-Seeing.

[90] Such is Allah Almighty’s control and power over the universe that He keeps turning the day and night over each other—sometimes the days become longer and the nights shorter, and sometimes the nights decrease and the days begin to grow longer. Now, can the Being who has such power to control the universe not take retribution from the wrongdoer? Therefore, as much as possible, avoid oppression and excess, and even better than that is to forgive if someone commits excess against you.
