Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim — Hafiz Abdus Salam Bin Muhammad Bhutvi
Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
(Ayah 64){فَرَجَعُوْۤااِلٰۤىاَنْفُسِهِمْ … :} This powerful blow from Ibrahim (peace be upon him) forced them to think. When everyone reflected in their hearts, they exclaimed that you are unjustly calling this young man a wrongdoer, whereas you yourselves are the wrongdoers for taking such powerless things as your deities, worshipping them, and considering them your helpers and relievers of difficulties, whose helplessness and inability is such that they cannot even avert a calamity that befalls themselves. Even more than that, they cannot even relate their own misfortune to anyone else, so what could be a greater injustice and foolishness than this? Allah Almighty has truly said: «{ اِنَّالشِّرْكَلَظُلْمٌعَظِيْمٌ }»[ لقمان : ۱۳ ] "Indeed, associating partners with Allah is surely a great injustice." Some have interpreted this to mean that you are the wrongdoers because you did not make proper arrangements to protect your idols, but the first meaning is authentic and appropriate to the context.

Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
64. 1. From this answer of Hazrat Ibrahim ؑ, they fell into thought and, being left speechless, began to say to each other, "Indeed, you are the wrongdoers; how can one who is neither able to save himself nor to restrain the hand of one who harms him be worthy of worship?" Some have explained this to mean that they blamed each other for not protecting their deities and called each other wrongdoers for abandoning their protection.
