خُلِقَ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ مِنْ عَجَلٍ ۚ سَأُو۟رِيكُمْ ءَايَـٰتِى فَلَا تَسْتَعْجِلُونِ ﴿37﴾
Man is created of haste. I will show you My Ayât (torments, proofs, evidence, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.). So ask Me not to hasten (them).

(Ayah 37) ➊ { خُلِقَ الْاِنْسَانُ مِنْ عَجَلٍ :} To intend something before its appointed time is haste, that is, haste is part of human nature; he was created hasty, as He said: «{ وَ كَانَ الْاِنْسَانُ عَجُوْلًا [ بني إسرائیل : ۱۱ ] "And man has always been very hasty." "Created out of haste" means exaggeration, as He said: «{ اَللّٰهُ الَّذِيْ خَلَقَكُمْ مِّنْ ضُؔعْفٍ [ الروم : ۵۴ ] "Allah is the One who created you from weakness."

{سَاُورِيْكُمْ اٰيٰتِيْ فَلَا تَسْتَعْجِلُوْنِ: ’’ فَلَا تَسْتَعْجِلُوْنِ‘‘} is originally {’’فَلَا تَسْتَعْجِلُوْنِيْ‘‘}. To match the ending letters of the verses, the "ya" was omitted while keeping the kasrah on the "noon." This verse has been interpreted in two ways: one is that due to the severe opposition of the disbelievers and their mocking of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), the Muslims were deeply grieved and distressed, and were eagerly awaiting the punishment of the disbelievers. Allah Almighty called this act haste and consoled them that He would surely show them His signs, but every matter has an appointed time, so do not demand it before its time. The signs refer to the calamities and misfortunes that befell the disbelievers, such as their defeat at Badr, Uhud, Khandaq, Hudaybiyyah, and the conquest of Makkah, and the end of their power. The context for this meaning is that the demand for hastening the punishment of the disbelievers is mentioned in the next verse. The second meaning is that haste is inherent in human nature; if he is angry with someone and has power, he immediately takes revenge. According to this nature, they also thought about Allah Almighty that if He had the power to take revenge, He would have sent down punishment immediately, so they mocked you (peace be upon him) and repeatedly demanded the hastening of the punishment due to its delay. He said, why do you demand the hastening of the punishment? There are many wisdoms in the respite We have given you so far, among which are completing the proof against you and the acceptance of Islam by many among you. How did you come to think that We tolerate your mischief and wickedness? Just wait! Soon you will know how We take revenge on you. In this world, you will be killed and have to endure humiliation and disgrace, and in the Hereafter, you will be made fuel for the fire of Hell.

37. 1. This is regarding the disbelievers in response to the punishment, that since haste and impatience are inherent in human nature, they begin to demand hastily even from the prophets, saying, "Tell your Lord to send down punishment upon us immediately." Allah said, "Do not be hasty; soon I will show you My signs." These signs may refer to punishment, or to the proofs and evidences of the truthfulness of the Messenger ﷺ.

37. Man is a creature of haste. Soon I will show you My signs, so do not ask Me to hasten [35].

Man’s Desire for Haste and Its Answer:

That is, haste is ingrained in the nature of man. He wishes that whatever desire arises in his heart should be fulfilled as soon as possible, whether that desire is good or bad. Since this verse mentions the nature of man, its addressees can be both Muslims and disbelievers. The matter was that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, in the context of the call to Islam, conveyed the warning mentioned in the Quran: if you deny the signs of Allah, mock them, or obstruct this path, then Allah’s punishment will come upon you, just as it came upon previous nations. Now, the disbelievers thought that they were openly rejecting this call, and not only rejecting it, but also oppressing the Muslims, and so much time had passed, yet not a hair on their heads had been harmed. Therefore, emboldened, they began to say: leave this daily repetition, and why don’t you bring upon us the punishment you threaten us with? And it is possible that some Muslims also thought that it would be good if these oppressors were punished immediately. In response, Allah Almighty said: every matter has a fixed measure and appointed time with Me. Therefore, at its appointed time, all such signs will be shown to you, and the groundwork for the occurrence of these signs was laid with the event of migration itself.
