Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

(Ayah 98) {اِنَّمَاۤ اِلٰهُكُمُ اللّٰهُ الَّذِيْ …:} This is the speech of Musa (peace be upon him), who, after addressing Samiri, addressed his own people. In this verse, two proofs of Allah Almighty being the true deity are mentioned: one is the oneness of Allah Almighty, that there is no deity except Him. The scholars state that all attributes are encompassed within this attribute; the details of this are mentioned in the books of Ilm al-Kalam in the explanation of "La ilaha illallah." The second proof is the specific attribute of knowledge, from whose encompassing nothing is outside. The word {’’ وَسِعَ ‘‘} is used because that which encompasses something has more capacity than what is inside it. (Ibn Ashur) Which is even vaster than {’’ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ ‘‘}; who can estimate its vastness?

Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain.
