He (Allâh) said: "Get you down (from the Paradise to the earth), both of you, together, some of you are an enemy to some others. Then if there comes to you guidance from Me, then whoever follows My Guidance he shall neither go astray, nor shall be distressed.

(Ayah 123) ➊ { قَالَاهْبِطَامِنْهَاجَمِيْعًۢابَعْضُكُمْلِبَعْضٍعَدُوٌّ :} Its exegesis is found in Surah Al-Baqarah, Ayah (36), meaning that even after the repentance was accepted, the decision to remain on earth remained, because they were created for the vicegerency of the earth. ➋ {فَمَنِاتَّبَعَهُدَايَ … :} In Surah Al-Baqarah (38) it is {’’ فَمَنْتَبِعَهُدَايَ ‘‘ }, meaning whoever follows My guidance, and here it is {’’اتَّبَعَ‘‘} (Iftiaal), in which, due to the addition of letters, there is emphasis and exaggeration, meaning whoever fully follows My guidance, he will neither go astray from the path to Paradise in this world nor will he be deprived of Paradise and become unfortunate in the Hereafter, rather, walking straight, he will reach his home in Paradise. Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: [ ضَمِنَاللّٰهُلِمَنْقَرَأَالْقُرْآنَأَلاَّيَضِلَّفِیالدُّنْيَاوَلاَيَشْقٰیفِیالْآخِرَةِثُمَّتَلاَ : «{ فَمَنِاتَّبَعَهُدَايَفَلَايَضِلُّوَلَايَشْقٰى} » ][ مصنف ابن أبي شیبۃ : 467/10، ح : ۳۰۵۷۵۔ مستدرک حاکم : 381/2، ح : ۳۴۳۸ و صححہ ووافقہ الذھبی ] "Whoever follows the Qur'an, Allah Almighty is his guarantor that he will neither go astray in this world nor be unfortunate in the Hereafter." Then he recited this verse: "So whoever follows My guidance, he will neither go astray nor fall into misery." It is clear that guidance is only that which comes from Allah; Allah Almighty Himself promised to send guidance and fulfilled it. No one’s guidance except Allah’s can lead to the destination, whether he is a scholar or a dervish, a human or a jinn or anyone else. Living life according to Allah’s Book is the guarantee of a successful life in both this world and the Hereafter. He said: «{ مَنْعَمِلَصَالِحًامِّنْذَكَرٍاَوْاُنْثٰىوَهُوَمُؤْمِنٌفَلَنُحْيِيَنَّهٗحَيٰوةًطَيِّبَةًوَلَنَجْزِيَنَّهُمْاَجْرَهُمْبِاَحْسَنِمَاكَانُوْايَعْمَلُوْنَ }»[ النحل : ۹۷ ] "Whoever does righteous deeds, whether male or female, and he is a believer, then surely We will give him a good life, and surely We will reward them according to the best of what they used to do."

Allah said: "Both of you (i.e., man and Satan), go down from here, all of you. You will be enemies to one another. Then, if guidance comes to you from Me, whoever follows My guidance will neither go astray nor suffer [89]."
[88] Who is Whose Enemy? Who are the Parties?
At this place, the dual form has been used. There can be two meanings of this: one meaning is clear in the translation, that one party was Adam and Hawwa, and the other party was Satan, and in terms of address, their progeny is also included among these parties. The second meaning is that one party is Adam, the other is Hawwa, and the meaning of "jami'an" should be taken as "together, collectively, or at once" instead of "all," and the address is to the progeny of Adam and Hawwa. And the enmity among their progeny will be such that from among their progeny, one party will remain obedient to Allah, and the other will be obedient to Satan. Between these two parties, the battle of truth and falsehood will continue and enmity will remain established.
[89] There are also two meanings of "yashqa": one is that he will not go astray from the path of Paradise, nor will he, being deprived of it, suffer the torments of Hell. Rather, he will reach Paradise directly, which was his original homeland. The second meaning of this word is that he will not be afflicted with wretchedness. In the world as well, he will certainly receive his destined share, and in the Hereafter, he will in any case be fortunate.
