Translation by Dr. Muhammad Muhsin Khan & Dr. Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali
And remember Allâh during the appointed Days. But whosoever hastens to leave in two days, there is no sin on him and whosoever stays on, there is no sin on him, if his aim is to do good and obey Allâh (fear Him), and know that you will surely be gathered unto Him.

Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim — Hafiz Abdus Salam Bin Muhammad Bhutvi
Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
(Ayah203) ➊ { وَاذْكُرُوااللّٰهَفِيْۤاَيَّامٍمَّعْدُوْدٰتٍ :} Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: "The 'appointed days' are the days of Tashreeq (11th, 12th, and 13th of Dhul-Hijjah)." [ بخاری، العیدین، باب فضل العمل… قبل، ح : ۹۶۹ ] Then Imam Bukhari (may Allah have mercy on him) established a chapter: "Saying Takbeer during the days of staying in Mina and when going to Arafat." Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) would say Takbeer inside his tent in Mina, and when those in the mosque heard him, they would also say Takbeer, and those in the markets would also say Takbeer, until Mina would resound with Takbeerat. Similarly, Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) would say Takbeer in Mina during those days, after the prayers, on his bed, in his tent, in his gatherings, and while walking during all those days. Umm al-Mu'mineen Maymunah (may Allah be pleased with her) would say Takbeer on the day of sacrifice, and women would say Takbeer behind Aban bin Uthman and Umar bin Abdul Aziz in the mosque with the men during the nights of Tashreeq. [ بخاری، العیدین، باب التکبیر أیام منیً …، قبل ح: ۹۷۰ ] It is understood that these days refer to the time from the morning of Arafah until sunset on the 13th of Dhul-Hijjah. Fasting is prohibited on the day of sacrifice and during the days of Tashreeq. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "These are days of eating, drinking, and remembering Allah." [ مسلم، الصیام، باب تحریم صوم أیام التشریق … : ۱۱۴۱ ] By the remembrance of Allah is meant all the Takbeerat that are said when stoning the Jamarat, slaughtering animals, or at other times, and any other remembrance besides Takbeer is also included in this ruling. That is, remain engaged in the remembrance of Allah during these days.
➋ {لِمَنِاتَّقٰى :} That is, if someone leaves after stoning the Jamarat on the eleventh and twelfth, it is permissible, and if someone delays and stays in Mina for all three days, that is also permissible, provided there is piety in the heart and the rites of Hajj are performed with sincerity. (Ibn Kathir)
➌ { اِلَيْهِتُحْشَرُوْنَ :} During Hajj, people gather as on the Day of Gathering, so along with the mention of Hajj, a reminder of the Day of Gathering is given and the command to fear Allah is given.
Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan — Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf
Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
23. 1. The intended meaning is the Days of Tashreeq, that is, the 11th, 12th, and 13th of Dhul-Hijjah. In these days, the remembrance of Allah, that is, reciting the Takbeerat aloud, is Sunnah—not only after the obligatory prayers (as is commonly believed based on a weak hadith), but rather, these Takbeerat should be recited at all times. When throwing the pebbles, it is Sunnah to recite Takbeer with each pebble. (اَللّٰہُاَکبَرْ ، اللّٰہُاَکبَر،ْلَااِلٰہَاِلَّا،واللّٰہُاَکبَر،اللّٰہُاَکبَروَلِلّٰہِالْحَمْدُہ)
23. 2. Performing Rami Jamrat (throwing pebbles at the Jamrat) for three days is more virtuous, but if someone throws the pebbles for two days (the 11th and 12th of Dhul-Hijjah) and then returns, that is also permissible.
Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran — Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani
Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
203. And remember Allah during the appointed number of days [272.1]. Then whoever hastens (to leave) in two days, there is no blame upon him, and whoever delays (until the third), there is no blame upon him, provided he fears Allah. And fear Allah, and know that to Him you will be gathered.
[272۔ 1] By "appointed days" is meant the 11th, 12th, and 13th of the month of Dhul-Hijjah. During these days, one should remember Allah abundantly. At the time of throwing the pebbles (Rami Jamarat), the Takbeer should be proclaimed aloud, and in all circumstances, even while walking in the markets, and after every prayer. The words of Takbeer are: Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar (three times) «لا اله الا الله والله اكبر الله اكبر ولله الحمد»
The Days of Tashreeq and the Takbeers:
The Takbeers of the two Eids are also the same, and during the Days of Tashreeq, these should also be proclaimed aloud. Regarding the Days of Tashreeq, it is mentioned in the hadith that these are days of eating, drinking, and remembering Allah. Although there is a difference of opinion regarding when to start and end the Takbeers, the correct and preferred view is that they should begin from the morning of the 9th of Dhul-Hijjah (the Day of Arafah or the Day of Hajj) and end at the Asr prayer on the 13th. In this way, there are a total of twenty-three prayers. After every prayer, at least three times, and as many times as Allah gives ability, the Takbeers should be proclaimed aloud. The act of Rami Jamarat is performed on three days, i.e., the 10th, 11th, and 12th of Dhul-Hijjah. The 10th of Dhul-Hijjah is a very busy day for the pilgrims. After that, staying in Mina for three days is Sunnah. However, if someone wishes to leave earlier, he may do so on the second day, provided that there is piety in his heart and he intends to perform all the rites of Hajj properly.
