Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

(Ayah 105) {وَ اللّٰهُ يَخْتَصُّ بِرَحْمَتِهٖ......:} According to the Arab polytheists, the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) was an ordinary man, and they were not willing to accept the descent of revelation upon an ordinary man instead of one of their great leaders. See Surah Az-Zukhruf (31). And the People of the Book could not see this mercy of Allah outside their own lineage. It is stated that Allah singles out whomever He wills with His mercy. Here, mercy refers to prophethood, which is solely Allah’s selection; it is not granted on the basis of anyone’s greatness, lineage, or anyone’s own effort, striving, or ascetic practices, as the Qadiani Dajjal claims. Allah the Exalted has said: «{ اَللّٰهُ يَصْطَفِيْ مِنَ الْمَلٰٓئِكَةِ رُسُلًا وَّ مِنَ النَّاسِ [ الحج : ۷۵ ] “Allah chooses messengers from among the angels and from among the people.”

Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

The exegesis of this verse has been done along with the previous verse.

Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

Those who disbelieve, whether they are from the People of the Book or the polytheists, none of them wish that any good [124] should be sent down to you from your Lord. But Allah chooses for His mercy whom He wills, and Allah is the Possessor of great bounty.

The Alliance of Jews and Polytheists Against the Muslims:

The real grievance of the Jews was that the Prophet of the Last Age ﷺ was not sent among them. You ﷺ were born from the descendants of Ismail and among a people whom the Jews considered much inferior and insignificant compared to themselves. The polytheists, on the other hand, were troubled because you ﷺ called purely to the worship of one Allah, which directly affected them, their deities, their forefathers, and their leadership. Therefore, both the Jews and the polytheists were severe enemies of the Prophet of Islam, Islam, and the Muslims. How could they ever tolerate anything good for the Muslims? Here, by goodness and mercy, what is especially meant are those divine commands that were being revealed to the Muslims. Thus, both these groups would unite against the Muslims.
