Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

(Ayah 100) From here, another vile habit of the Jews is being mentioned. The Jews were also made to pledge to help the Last Prophet and to believe in him, but they broke this pledge and began to say, no such pledge was taken from us. In this verse, Allah Almighty has consoled you (ﷺ) that breaking pledges is an old practice of these people. Whenever a pledge was taken from them, a group among them cast it behind their backs, and in fact, many among them do not even believe in the Torah at all. If such people now break pledges, what is there to be surprised about? (Razi)
