Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim — Hafiz Abdus Salam Bin Muhammad Bhutvi
Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
(Ayah 68) ➊ {فَوَرَبِّكَلَنَحْشُرَنَّهُمْ …:’’ جِثِيًّا ‘‘ ’’جَثَايَجْثُوْجُثُوًّا‘‘} and {’’جَثَييَجْثِيْجُثِيًا‘‘} (n, ḍ) are the verbs from which the active participle {’’جَاثٍ‘‘} ({اَلْجَاثِيْ}), which is the singular form for those who fall on their knees. To convince the deniers of the Resurrection, it is sworn that by your Lord, We will surely gather them and the devils who misled them. The "devils" also include the "Qareen" (see Surah Qaf: 23), as well as the offspring of Iblis and the misleading devils from among humans. See Surah Al-An'am (112). To depict their presence around Hell, it is stated that they will be fallen on their knees around Hell, utterly humiliated, disgraced, and terrified, and they will not have the strength to stand. See Surah Al-Jathiyah (28). ➋ "By your Lord"—there are two benefits in this: first, the emphasis of the statement due to the oath; second, the exaltation of the status of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), just as in Surah Adh-Dhariyat, Ayah (23): « {فَوَرَبِّالسَّمَآءِوَالْاَرْضِاِنَّهٗلَحَقٌّمِّثْلَمَاۤاَنَّكُمْتَنْطِقُوْنَ} », the greatness of the heavens and the earth is being manifested. Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan — Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf
Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
68. 1. Jithiyy, is the plural of Jath, from Jatha Yajthu. جَاثٍ refers to one who falls upon his knees. This is a state, meaning that not only will We resurrect them again, but also those devils whom they followed astray or whom they used to worship; then We will gather all of them around Hell in such a state that, due to the terrors of the Day of Gathering and the fear of reckoning, they will be sitting on their knees. For Me, creating for the first time is not easier than creating for the second time (that is, if there is any difficulty, it is in creating for the first time, not the second). And what hurts Me is that he says, "I have a child," whereas I am One, Self-Sufficient; I have neither begotten anyone nor was I begotten, and there is none comparable to Me. (Sahih Bukhari, Tafsir Surah Ikhlas)
