فَخَرَجَ عَلَىٰ قَوْمِهِۦ مِنَ ٱلْمِحْرَابِ فَأَوْحَىٰٓ إِلَيْهِمْ أَن سَبِّحُوا۟ بُكْرَةً وَعَشِيًّا ﴿11﴾
Then he came out to his people from Al-Mihrâb (a praying place or a private room), and he told them by signs to glorify Allâh’s Praises in the morning and in the afternoon.
فَخَرَجَ fakharaja Then he came out
عَلَىٰ ʿalā to
قَوْمِهِۦ qawmihi his people
مِنَ mina from
ٱلْمِحْرَابِ l-miḥ'rābi the prayer chamber
فَأَوْحَىٰٓ fa-awḥā and he signaled
إِلَيْهِمْ ilayhim to them
أَن an to
سَبِّحُوا۟ sabbiḥū glorify (Allah)
بُكْرَةًۭ buk'ratan (in) the morning
وَعَشِيًّۭا waʿashiyyan and (in) the evening

(Ayah 11) ➊ {فَخَرَجَ عَلٰى قَوْمِهٖ مِنَ الْمِحْرَابِ: ’’ الْمِحْرَابِ ‘‘} The place of prayer, or the room in which he used to worship, or the mosque, because the mosques of the Children of Israel were called {’’ مَحَارِيْبُ ‘‘}, because these are places where war is waged against devils. { فَاَوْحٰۤى اِلَيْهِمْ اَنْ سَبِّحُوْا بُكْرَةً وَّ عَشِيًّا:} That is, as a sign of pregnancy, the tongue was tied, so by gesture he instructed the people to glorify Allah in the early and late hours, because when the sign appeared to him, this was the command from Allah, as He said: «{ وَ اذْكُرْ رَّبَّكَ كَثِيْرًا وَّ سَبِّحْ بِالْعَشِيِّ وَ الْاِبْكَارِ [ آل عمران : ۴۱ ] "And remember your Lord much and glorify [Him] in the evening and the morning."

11. 1 By mihrab is meant the chamber in which he used to worship Allah. This is from harb, which means battle. It is as if worshipping Allah in the place of worship is like fighting against Satan.

11. 2 By glorifying Allah morning and evening is meant the prayers of Asr and Fajr. Or it means that at two times, make special arrangements for the glorification, praise, and purity of Allah.
