حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا بَلَغَ بَيْنَ ٱلسَّدَّيْنِ وَجَدَ مِن دُونِهِمَا قَوْمًا لَّا يَكَادُونَ يَفْقَهُونَ قَوْلًا ﴿93﴾
Until, when he reached between two mountains, he found, before (near) them (those two mountains), a people who scarcely understood a word.
حَتَّىٰٓ ḥattā Until
إِذَا idhā when
بَلَغَ balagha he reached
بَيْنَ bayna between
ٱلسَّدَّيْنِ l-sadayni the two mountains
وَجَدَ wajada he found
مِن min besides them
دُونِهِمَا dūnihimā besides them
قَوْمًۭا qawman a community
لَّا not
يَكَادُونَ yakādūna who would almost
يَفْقَهُونَ yafqahūna understand
قَوْلًۭا qawlan (his) speech

93. 1. By this is meant two mountains that were facing each other, with a ravine between them, through which Yajuj and Majuj would come into the populated area and cause chaos and spread violence and bloodshed.
