Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. 36. 1. That disbeliever was not only afflicted with conceit and arrogance, but his intoxication and his beautiful and long hopes for the future made him completely heedless of Allah’s grasp and the process of punishment. Moreover, he denied the very Day of Resurrection, and then, displaying mockery, said that even if the Resurrection were to occur, a good end would still be my destiny. Those whose disbelief and rebellion exceed all bounds, intoxicated with self-conceit, make such arrogant claims. As Allah Almighty has said elsewhere: ولئن رجعت الی ربی ان لی عندہ للحسنی. Ha Mim As-Sajdah. If I am returned to my Lord, there will surely be good things for me there. افرءیت الذی کفر بایتنا وقال لاوتین مالا وولدا. Maryam. Have you seen the one who disbelieved in Our signs and claimed that in the Hereafter he will be granted wealth and children?
