Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

(Ayah 15) ➊ {هٰۤؤُلَآءِ قَوْمُنَا اتَّخَذُوْا مِنْ دُوْنِهٖۤ اٰلِهَةً …: } They did not suffice with merely proclaiming monotheism, but also refuted the actions of their people, saying: Why do these people of our nation not present any evidence for worshipping anyone besides Allah? It is clear that they are utterly false in their claim. For some verses in which the polytheists are asked to provide proof for shirk, see Al-An‘am (148) and Al-Ahqaf (4).
{ فَمَنْ اَظْلَمُ …:} That is, calling upon others besides Allah is nothing but a lie, and who is more unjust than the one who fabricates a lie against Allah?
