ذَٰلِكَ جَزَآؤُهُمْ جَهَنَّمُ بِمَا كَفَرُوا۟ وَٱتَّخَذُوٓا۟ ءَايَـٰتِى وَرُسُلِى هُزُوًا ﴿106﴾
"That shall be their recompense, Hell; because they disbelieved and took My Ayât (proofs, evidence, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) and My Messengers by way of jest and mockery.
ذَٰلِكَ dhālika That
جَزَآؤُهُمْ jazāuhum (is) their recompense
جَهَنَّمُ jahannamu Hell
بِمَا bimā because
كَفَرُوا۟ kafarū they disbelieved
وَٱتَّخَذُوٓا۟ wa-ittakhadhū and took
ءَايَـٰتِى āyātī My Verses
وَرُسُلِى warusulī and My Messengers
هُزُوًا huzuwan (in) ridicule

Denial of the Hereafter is in Reality Denial of Allah:

From this verse, it is understood that if a person believes in the existence of Allah but does not believe in the Hereafter, then there is no doubt whatsoever about his being a complete disbeliever. Because if there is no concept of accountability before Allah, a person can never come to the right path, nor does he even try to do so. This very thing makes him one who mocks the signs of Allah and His messengers, and he does not care at all about those commands of Allah which are meant to keep a person on the straight path.
