Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

(Ayah 71) ➊ {يَوْمَ نَدْعُوْا كُلَّ اُنَاسٍۭ بِاِمَامِهِمْ:} The meaning of "Imam" is also "leader," as He said: «وَ اجْعَلْنَا لِلْمُتَّقِيْنَ اِمَامًا » [الفرقان : ۷۴ ] "And make us leaders for the righteous." The second meaning is "book," as He said: «وَ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ اَحْصَيْنٰهُ فِيْۤ اِمَامٍ مُّبِيْنٍ » [یٰسٓ : ۱۲ ] "And We have enumerated everything in a clear book." If the first meaning is intended, then the Imams of the believers will be the Prophets, peace be upon them, and the Imams of the disbelievers and polytheists will be their false leaders, as He said: «وَ جَعَلْنٰهُمْ اَىِٕمَّةً يَّدْعُوْنَ اِلَى النَّارِ » [ القصص : ۴۱ ] "And We made them leaders inviting to the Fire." Those who followed none but the Book and Sunnah will be called with their Imam, Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and who can be more fortunate than those who are companions of Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him? And those who abandoned the Book and Sunnah and followed someone else, whether righteous or wicked, will be called with them, but all of them will disassociate themselves from their followers, even Satan will declare his disassociation from his followers. (See Ibrahim: 22) Those righteous Imams and elders who, during their lives, forbade blind following and emphasized adherence to the Book and Sunnah, will also completely disassociate themselves from their false followers who neither obeyed their Imams nor acted upon the Book and Sunnah. See Surah Al-Baqarah (165 to 167) and Al-Ahqaf (6). And if the second meaning is intended, then it means that on that Day every person will be called with his book of deeds. Here, this meaning is more appropriate, because ahead it is mentioned about the book being given in the right or left hand.

{ فَاُولٰٓىِٕكَ يَقْرَءُوْنَ كِتٰبَهُمْ :} By receiving the record of deeds in their right hand, they will immediately know the goodness and happiness coming to them, so they will read it joyfully and show it to others. See Surah Al-Haqqah (19).

{ وَ لَا يُظْلَمُوْنَ فَتِيْلًا :} The fine thread in the groove of a date seed is called {’’ فَتِيْلًا ‘‘}, meaning not even a little injustice will be done.

Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

71. 1. The meaning of اِمَام is leader, guide, and chief. What is meant by it here? There is a difference of opinion. Some say that it refers to the prophet, meaning every nation will be called with reference to its prophet. Some say it refers to the heavenly book that was revealed with the prophets, i.e., people will be called as "O People of the Torah! O People of the Gospel! O People of the Quran!" etc. Some say that here 'imam' refers to the record of deeds, meaning every person will be called with his record of deeds, and his judgment will be made according to it. This opinion has been preferred by Imam Ibn Kathir and Imam Shawkani. 71. 2. فَتِیل refers to the membrane or thread that is in the date seed, meaning not even an atom's weight of injustice will be done.

Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

On the Day when We will call every people with their leader [89], then whoever is given his record in his right hand [90], such people will read their record, and not a whit [91] of injustice will be done to them.

[89] By "Imam" is meant either the prophet of any community or that person who was considered a leader after the life of the Prophet ﷺ. And this calling will be in such a way: O community of Musa, O community of Muhammad ﷺ, O community of Isa ؑ, or O people of the Quran! O people of the Gospel, O people of the Torah, likewise, every group will be called by the name of the founder of that group.

[90] The obedient servants of Allah will be given their record of deeds from the front, in their right hand, and this will be a tangible observation, by seeing which everyone will be able to estimate that he is destined for Paradise. Such people will be very happy and, out of joy, will invite others to read their record of deeds, and they will be given the full reward for their deeds. But the person who is given his record of deeds from behind, in his right hand, he too will immediately know his fate; he will want to hide his record and will say, "Alas! If only this had not been given to me."

[91] "Fatila" also refers to that fine thread which is in the groove of a date stone, and by this word, a very small amount is meant—that is, on the Day of Resurrection, everyone will be given the full recompense for his efforts, and even more than that. But the criminals will not be given even a particle more punishment than their sins.
