And surely, We have explained [Our Promises, Warnings and (set forth many) examples] in this Qur’ân that they (the disbelievers) may take heed, but it increases them in naught save aversion.

Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

The meaning of (Ayah 41){ وَ لَقَدْ صَرَّفْنَا فِيْ هٰذَا الْقُرْاٰنِ … : ’’ نُفُوْرًا ‘‘} is aversion, shying away, running far. The purpose of explaining in various ways in this Quran is that every necessary matter has been repeated and presented in different manners again and again, so that these people may take heed. But admonition is only effective when listened to, whereas the more effort is made to make them listen, the more they run away, they do not want to listen at all, so how will they accept?

Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

41. 1. Every kind of meaning is intended: admonition and advice, arguments and clear proofs, and examples and incidents. In every way, it has been explained repeatedly so that they may understand. But they are so entangled in the darkness of disbelief and polytheism that instead of coming closer to the truth, they have gone even further away. This is because they think that this Quran is magic, stories, and poetry. Then how can they be guided by this Quran? Because the example of the Quran is like rain: if it falls on good land, that land becomes lush from the rain, and if it is filthy, the rain only increases its stench.

Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

41. We have explained (the truths) in this Quran in various ways so that they may take heed, but it only increases their aversion [51].

Why Do the Disbelievers Not Benefit from the Quran’s Admonitions?

Because when there is corruption in one’s nature, even healthy and excellent foods do not suit them. In fact, until the illness is completely treated, even the best of foods become a cause of further indigestion. This is exactly the case with these disbelievers: after hearing the highest and most excellent arguments of the Noble Quran, instead of accepting the admonition, these wretched people become even more rebellious and, seized by aversion, run away.
