Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim — Hafiz Abdus Salam Bin Muhammad Bhutvi
Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
On (Ayah 106){وَقُرْاٰنًافَرَقْنٰهُلِتَقْرَاَهٗ …: ’’ قُرْاٰنًا ‘‘}, the tanween is for exaltation, and it is the object of a deleted verb in {’’ اٰتَيْنَا ‘‘ }. That is, We have given you this magnificent Qur’an; We have revealed it in parts, meaning its surahs and verses were kept separate and revealed little by little over approximately twenty-three years. There are many wisdoms in this, for example, that it would be easier to recite, memorize, understand, and act upon; its meanings would become ingrained according to the context and occasion, so that there would be no possibility of using any verse out of context in the future. Whenever there was any distress or anxiety due to the behavior of the disbelievers, your heart would be strengthened with its verses, and if any issue arose for the Muslims or any objection came from the disbelievers, its answer could be given on the spot. See also Surah Al-Furqan, Ayahs (32, 33).
Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan — Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf
Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
16. 1. The other meaning of فَرَقْنَاہُ is بَیَّنَّاہوَاَوْضَحْنَاہ (We have explained it clearly and made it evident) as well.
Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran — Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani
Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
And We have revealed the Qur'an in stages [125], so that you may recite it to the people gradually, and We have sent it down in successive portions.
[125] The Benefits of Revealing the Quran Gradually:
One of the objections of the polytheists of Makkah was that if the Quran were the word of Allah, it would have been revealed all at once. Otherwise, this Prophet is composing it gradually and, according to circumstances, keeps reciting it to the people. In response to this, Allah Almighty said that it is We Who have revealed this Quran from time to time and gradually, and there are many wisdoms and benefits in revealing it in intervals. For example, it makes it easier for people to memorize it; also, everyone knows on which occasion a particular verse was revealed and what its correct meaning is. Furthermore, it becomes easier for people to act upon its commands and to abstain from its prohibitions, and if all the commands and prohibitions had been revealed to them at once, everyone would have rejected them and no one would have had the courage to implement them upon themselves. Also, by revealing verses at different times, the faith of the believers keeps increasing and becomes stronger; they develop the strength and steadfastness to endure hardships, and all these benefits could only be achieved if the Quran was revealed gradually and gradualness was observed in commands and prohibitions.
