Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

(Ayah72) ➊ {وَ اللّٰهُ جَعَلَ لَكُمْ مِّنْ اَنْفُسِكُمْ اَزْوَاجًا …:’’ حَفَدَةً ‘‘ ’’حَفَدَ يَحْفِدُ ‘‘} is the plural of {’’حَافِدٌ‘‘}, one who hastens in service and obedience, as in a supplication of Qunoot: [ وَإِلَيْكَ نَسْعٰی وَ نَحْفِدُ ] [ ابن خزیمۃ : ۲ /۱۵۵، ح : ۱۱۰۰ ] The plural of {’’حَفِيْدٌ ‘‘} is {’’حُفَدَاءُ‘‘ }. {’’حَافِدٌ‘‘} and {’’حَفِيْدٌ‘‘} refer to sons and descendants, and also to servants. (Qamoos) In this verse, Allah Almighty has mentioned several of His favors: firstly, He gave a companion to remove loneliness and isolation, a woman for a man and a man for a woman. Secondly, that companion was given from his own kind, human, because from another kind neither intimacy, nor tranquility, nor compatibility could be achieved. (See Rum: 21) Our respected father Adam (peace be upon him) attained tranquility in Paradise only when he was given a wife from his own kind. (See Nisa: 1) From this, the scholars have also deduced that all the stories about marriage between jinn and humans and having children from them are mere myths. Thirdly, He granted children and grandchildren (sons and grandsons) from the husband and wife, who become a source of joy and support in old age, serve their father gladly, and become the means of the preservation of his name and lineage. Fourthly, He then provided pure sustenance for every need of all their lives.
{اَفَبِالْبَاطِلِ يُؤْمِنُوْنَ :} That is, do they acknowledge the favors of their self-made gods, those who fulfill needs, remove difficulties, and grant, claiming that they are the ones who cured illness, gave a son, or provided sustenance, even though all of them are false and have no reality except in imagination and delusion. See Surah Yunus (66).
{ وَ بِنِعْمَتِ اللّٰهِ هُمْ يَكْفُرُوْنَ:} That is, Allah Almighty, who is the true deity and all favors are from Him, they are ungrateful for His blessings and deny them, and instead acknowledge the favors of idols and saints, claiming that health, sons, and sustenance are given by them, even though all this is false (a lie). The truth is that all of this is given by Allah Almighty, whom the polytheists do not thank.

Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

72. 1. That is, Allah Almighty, by mentioning His blessings which are mentioned in the verse, is asking that the One who gives everything is Allah, but they leave Him and worship others and obey others instead.

Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

72. Allah has made for you spouses from among yourselves, and from your spouses He has given you sons and grandsons, and provided you with good things [71]. Do they then believe in falsehood and deny the favors of Allah?

The Means for the Survival of Man and His Species:

Allah has provided the means for the survival of your species, and He alone has created the means for the preservation of your own life. Yet, the polytheists hold the belief regarding their false deities that a son was born due to the favor of such-and-such, or that healing was attained by visiting such-and-such shrine, and other such superstitions.
