Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim — Hafiz Abdus Salam Bin Muhammad Bhutvi
Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
(Ayah 65) ➊ {وَاللّٰهُاَنْزَلَمِنَالسَّمَآءِمَآءً …: ’’ السَّمَآءِ ‘‘ ’’سُمُوٌ‘‘} is derived from which means height, that is why every high thing is called {’’سَمَاءٌ‘‘ }. Here, it can also mean bringing down from a height or from the cloud. Here, attention is drawn to the blessing of water, which is the essence of life. It is said: «{ وَجَعَلْنَامِنَالْمَآءِكُلَّشَيْءٍحَيٍّ}»[ الأنبیاء : ۳۰ ] "And We made from water every living thing." That is, the earth was lying dry like a dead thing, there was no sign of life in it, neither grass nor flowers nor insects, then suddenly it rained and within a few days it became lush and fresh, and all kinds of greenery and freshness appeared in it, and springs of water began to gush forth everywhere, as if after death it was granted life again. This subject is explained in detail in Surah Al-Hajj, Ayah (5, 6), where three wisdoms of it are mentioned, and see also Surah Ar-Rum (50) and Surah Ya-Sin (33, 34).
➋ {اِنَّفِيْذٰلِكَلَاٰيَةًلِّقَوْمٍيَّسْمَعُوْنَ:} From this, they can easily understand that the One who can grant life to the earth after its death, He can also resurrect humans after their death, nothing is difficult for Him. By hearing is meant to listen with justice and attention, because whoever does not listen with the heart is as if deaf, who cannot hear. It is said: «{ لَهُمْقُلُوْبٌلَّايَفْقَهُوْنَبِهَاوَلَهُمْاَعْيُنٌلَّايُبْصِرُوْنَبِهَاوَلَهُمْاٰذَانٌلَّايَسْمَعُوْنَبِهَااُولٰٓىِٕكَكَالْاَنْعَامِبَلْهُمْاَضَلُّ }»[ الأعراف : ۱۷۹ ] "They have hearts with which they do not understand, and they have eyes with which they do not see, and they have ears with which they do not hear; they are like cattle, rather they are more astray."

And Allah is the One Who sends down water from the sky, by which He gives life to the earth after its death. Surely in this [62] is a sign for people who listen attentively.
[62] Proof of Vegetation from Rain and Resurrection After Death:
The earth lies dry and completely barren, but in the rainy season, all kinds of herbs, grass, trees, and plants begin to grow by themselves. Their seeds, etc., had been buried in the earth for ages. Then, in this season, frogs and many types of such insects also come into existence, whose traces had completely vanished before, and the severity of the season had entirely wiped out that species. But in the rainy season, they are also created anew, and you witness this scene repeatedly in your life. The situation of man's rebirth will be exactly the same. When the trumpet is blown for the second time, its nature will be exactly like that of rain and the rainy season for vegetation and insects. Even if the human body has mixed with the soil and become dust, with this second blowing of the trumpet or a spiritual kind of rain, all will be raised to life again.
