Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

(Ayah25) ➊ {لِيَحْمِلُوْۤا اَوْزَارَهُمْ كَامِلَةً يَّوْمَ الْقِيٰمَةِ …:} For its explanation, see Surah Al-A'raf (38, 39) and Surah Al-Ankabut (12, 13). Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: : ۲۶۷۴ ] "Whoever calls to guidance will have a reward equal to the reward of those who follow him, without that detracting from their rewards in the slightest. And whoever calls to misguidance will bear a burden of sin equal to the sins of those who follow him, without that detracting from their sins in the slightest." The killer son of Adam (peace be upon him) will bear the burden of every unlawful killing until the Day of Resurrection; this is an example. See Surah Al-Ma'idah (31, 32).

➋ This is the perfect justice of Allah Almighty, that those who mislead will bear the full burden of their own sins (which they themselves committed), and of those whom they misled, not all their burdens but some of them. In {’’ وَ مِنْ اَوْزَارِ الَّذِيْنَ يُضِلُّوْنَهُمْ ‘‘}, {’’ مِنْ ‘‘} is for partiality, meaning only those sins which they committed at their instigation. (Shu'rawi)

{ يُضِلُّوْنَهُمْ بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍ:} This refutes blind following (taqlid), because taqlid is the opposite of knowledge; the word of Allah and His Messenger in religion is proof and knowledge, and whatever is contrary to that is taqlid and ignorance. Here, neither those who mislead without knowledge nor those who are misled by following them will have the excuse of taqlid accepted. Ibn Qayyim (may Allah have mercy on him) said:

{اَلْعِلْمُ مَعْرِفَةُ الْهُدٰي بِدَلِيْلِهِ ¤ مَا ذَاكَ وَالتَّقْلِيْدُ يَسْتَوِيَانِ ¤ إِذْ أَجْمَعَ الْعُلَمَائُ أَنَّ مُقَلِّدًا ¤ لِلنَّاسِ وَالْأَعْمٰي هُمَا سِيَّانٖ}

"Knowledge is to recognize guidance along with its proof (Qur'an and Sunnah). This and taqlid can never be equal, because the scholars are agreed that the one who blindly follows people and the blind person are equal."

Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

25. 1. That is, Allah made this statement come from their tongues so that they may bear their own burdens as well as the burdens of others. Just as it is mentioned in the hadith: The Prophet ﷺ said, "Whoever calls people towards guidance, he will receive the reward of all those who follow his invitation to guidance, and whoever calls towards misguidance, he will bear the burden of the sins of all those who were led astray by his invitation."

Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

25. (And they say this) so that on the Day of Resurrection they may bear their own burdens in full, and also some of the burdens of those whom they misled without knowledge [25]. Behold! How evil is the burden they will bear.

[25] That is, not only were they themselves guilty, but by not conveying the true message of the Prophet to others, they also prevented them, so they took upon themselves the burden of their misguidance as well. On the Day of Resurrection, this burden of sins will be placed upon their backs in a tangible form.
