Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim — Hafiz Abdus Salam Bin Muhammad Bhutvi
Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
The original meaning of {وَمَاذَرَاَلَكُمْفِيالْاَرْضِ …: ’’ ذَرَاَ ‘‘} is to spread something through procreation and reproduction; from this comes the word {’’ذُرِيَّةٌ‘‘}, just as countless humans came from Adam and Hawwa (peace be upon them), countless animals from each animal, countless plants from each plant. In short, the spreading of diverse creation in this way for your benefit is a great sign of Allah’s oneness, for those who take heed. By the way, the meaning of {’’ ذَرَاَ ‘‘} also comes as {’’خَلَقَ‘‘}, that is, whatever Allah has created and spread in the earth, such as humans, animals, plants, minerals, liquids, gases, electricity, steam, and various types of rays. In short! In things of different colors and kinds, all of which are for the benefit of humans, there are many signs of recognizing the Creator and of certainty in His being One without partner, but only for those who accept admonition. If a vessel is turned upside down, how can anything be put into it? The diversity of the universe is a great sign of Allah’s power. See Surah Ar-Rum (22).
Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan — Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf
Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
13. 1. That is, in the minerals, plants, inanimate objects, and animals that Allah has created in the earth, and in their benefits and properties, there are also signs for those who take heed.
Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran — Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani
Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
13. And He has created for you on the earth things of various colors. In this too is a sign for those who take heed. [13]
[13] The Sense of Beauty and the Colorfulness of Plants:
Allah Almighty has not only taken into account the necessities of man but has also considered his sense of beauty in every matter. If the sky is clear at night, these very moon and stars present a very beautiful scene to man. Then, go to a waving field or take a walk in a garden. There, observe the scenes of some tall and some short trees. Look at flowers of different colors. Then, observe the different colors of a single flower, its petals, and its buds. Then, enjoy their fragrance and scent. All these things fulfill human needs and, besides satisfying his sense of beauty, provide him with delight and have a very pleasant effect on his health. And if a person reflects on the creation of these things, he is compelled to marvel at the powers of Allah.
