➋ {وَ لَا تَحْزَنْ عَلَيْهِمْ … :} The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) would become so grieved at his people not believing that he might almost waste away his life; upon this, Allah Almighty consoled him that neither should you grieve over them nor be distressed by their schemes. {’’ ضَيْقٍ ‘‘} and { ’’ ضِيْقٌ ‘‘} both have the same meaning. [130] To endure the oppression and hardships from the opponents of the truth with a cool heart is not an easy task. Only if Allah grants the ability can it be done; however, do not let their hostile activities cause you to feel suffocated in your heart. Surely, Allah will grant you the ability to be patient.
