Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

(Ayah 51) ➊ { لِيَجْزِيَ اللّٰهُ كُلَّ نَفْسٍ مَّا كَسَبَتْ:} That is, all this sequence of the Day of Resurrection will happen so that Allah may give every person the recompense of what he has earned, rewarding the righteous with good and the wicked with evil.

{اِنَّ اللّٰهَ سَرِيْعُ الْحِسَابِ:} Two things are included in this: first, that the Day of Reckoning is very near; He said: «{ اِقْتَرَبَ لِلنَّاسِ حِسَابُهُمْ [ الأنبیاء : ۱ ] "The reckoning of mankind has drawn near to them." And He said: «{ اَتٰۤى اَمْرُ اللّٰهِ فَلَا تَسْتَعْجِلُوْهُ۠ } » [ النحل :۱ ] "The command of Allah has come, so do not seek to hasten it." Second, that Allah does not take any time in taking account; everything will be presented in the blink of an eye. He said: «{ وَ كُلَّ اِنْسَانٍ اَلْزَمْنٰهُ طٰٓىِٕرَهٗ فِيْ عُنُقِهٖ وَ نُخْرِجُ لَهٗ يَوْمَ الْقِيٰمَةِ كِتٰبًا يَّلْقٰىهُ مَنْشُوْرًا (13) اِقْرَاْ كِتٰبَكَ كَفٰى بِنَفْسِكَ الْيَوْمَ عَلَيْكَ حَسِيْبًا [ بنی إسرائیل : ۱۳، ۱۴ ] "And every human being—We have fastened his fate to his neck, and on the Day of Resurrection We will bring forth for him a book which he will find spread open. Read your book; today you are sufficient as a reckoner against yourself."
