Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

(Ayah47){فَلَا تَحْسَبَنَّ اللّٰهَ مُخْلِفَ وَعْدِهٖ رُسُلَهٗ …:} By Allah’s promise is meant the help and honor of Allah’s messengers and the believers in this world and the Hereafter, as He said: «{ لَنَنْصُرُ رُسُلَنَا وَ الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا فِي الْحَيٰوةِ الدُّنْيَا وَ يَوْمَ يَقُوْمُ الْاَشْهَادُ [ المؤمن : ۵۱ ] “Indeed, We surely help Our messengers and those who believe in the life of this world and on the Day when the witnesses will stand.” See also the exegesis of Surah Al-Mujadila (21) and Surah Ibrahim (13, 14). The purpose of this is, on one hand, to console the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), and on the other hand, to warn his opponents that just as all the promises We made to the previous prophets were fulfilled, likewise, the promise of support and help We are making to Our last Messenger (peace be upon him) will certainly be fulfilled, and those who are determined to oppose you will be destroyed and ruined, because Allah is dominant over all, the One Who takes retribution.

Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

47. 1. That is, the promise Allah has made to His messengers to help them in this world and the Hereafter is certainly true; it is not possible for Him to break His promise.

47. 2. That is, He takes revenge on His enemies for the sake of His friends.

Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

47. (O Prophet)! Never think that Allah will fail to fulfill His promise to His messengers [47]. Surely, Allah is Mighty and capable of retribution.

[47] In this verse, the address apparently is to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, but the real purpose is to inform the opponents that Allah had fulfilled all the promises He made to His previous messengers, and when the time came, He helped the messengers and destroyed and ruined their opponents. And the promise being made to you will also surely be fulfilled by Allah, because He is dominant over all and fully capable of taking revenge on the deniers of the truth.
