وَجَعَلُوا۟ لِلَّهِ أَندَادًا لِّيُضِلُّوا۟ عَن سَبِيلِهِۦ ۗ قُلْ تَمَتَّعُوا۟ فَإِنَّ مَصِيرَكُمْ إِلَى ٱلنَّارِ ﴿30﴾

And they set up rivals to Allâh, to mislead (men) from His Path! Say: "Enjoy (your brief life)! But certainly, your destination is the (Hell) Fire!"

The word ''andādā'' is the plural of ''nidd''. Raghib has written: {’’نَدِيْدُ الشَّيْئِ مُشَارِكُهُ فِيْ جَوْهَرِهِ ‘‘} is one who shares in the essence of something, whereas the word "mithl" is used for every participant; thus, every "nidd" is a "mithl," but not every "mithl" is a "nidd." (That is why it is translated as "partner.") That is, they began to worship them and call upon them in times of pain and distress. In this verse, Allah Almighty has declared their crime to be the act of committing shirk and preventing people from Islam and leading them astray through its propagation. {’’تَمَتُّعٌ‘‘} means to benefit for a while. Wherever this word { ’’ تَمَتَّعْ ‘‘} or {’’ تَمَتَّعُوْا ‘‘} (i.e., "enjoy" or "benefit") appears in the Quran, its meaning is not to permit it, but rather to scold and warn, that is, "Fine, if you do not desist, then enjoy yourselves for a few days, but for how long? In the end, you will have to remain in Hell forever."
