وَمَا لَنَآ أَلَّا نَتَوَكَّلَ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ وَقَدْ هَدَىٰنَا سُبُلَنَا ۚ وَلَنَصْبِرَنَّ عَلَىٰ مَآ ءَاذَيْتُمُونَا ۚ وَعَلَى ٱللَّهِ فَلْيَتَوَكَّلِ ٱلْمُتَوَكِّلُونَ ﴿12﴾
"And why should we not put our trust in Allâh while He indeed has guided us our ways? And we shall certainly bear with patience all the hurt you may cause us, and in Allâh (Alone) let those who trust, put their trust."
وَمَا wamā And what
لَنَآ lanā (is) for us
أَلَّا allā that not
نَتَوَكَّلَ natawakkala we put our trust
عَلَى ʿalā upon
ٱللَّهِ l-lahi Allah
وَقَدْ waqad while certainly
هَدَىٰنَا hadānā He has guided us
سُبُلَنَا ۚ subulanā to our ways
وَلَنَصْبِرَنَّ walanaṣbiranna And surely we will bear with patience
عَلَىٰ ʿalā on
مَآ what
ءَاذَيْتُمُونَا ۚ ādhaytumūnā harm you may cause us
وَعَلَى waʿalā And upon
ٱللَّهِ l-lahi Allah
فَلْيَتَوَكَّلِ falyatawakkali so let put (their) trust
ٱلْمُتَوَكِّلُونَ l-mutawakilūna the ones who put (their) trust

(Ayah12){وَ مَا لَنَاۤ اَلَّا نَتَوَكَّلَ عَلَى اللّٰهِ … :} That is, when Allah Almighty has given us guidance, what excuse do we have after that not to remain steadfast relying upon Him? As for your causing us harm, we will be patient in every situation and place our trust in our Lord, because those who trust should place their trust only in Him.
