And those who disbelieved, say: "You (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه و سلم) are not a Messenger." Say: "Sufficient as a witness between me and you is Allâh and those too who have knowledge of the Scripture (such as ‘Abdullâh bin Salâm and other Jews and Christians who embraced Islâm)."

Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim — Hafiz Abdus Salam Bin Muhammad Bhutvi
Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
(Ayah43) ➊ Due to the tanween of {لَسْتَمُرْسَلًا: ’’ مُرْسَلًا ‘‘}, the translation is "any kind of messenger." ➋ { وَمَنْعِنْدَهٗعِلْمُالْكِتٰبِ :} refers to the scholars of the Jews and Christians, such as Abdullah bin Salam, Salman al-Farsi, Tamim al-Dari (may Allah be pleased with them), and others among them who believed. The command to refer to the scholars of the People of the Book was given because the polytheists generally referred to them regarding the matter of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and their scholars understood well from the descriptions and glad tidings about him that he is a true Messenger, as He said: «{ يَعْرِفُوْنَهٗكَمَايَعْرِفُوْنَاَبْنَآءَهُمْ }»[ البقرۃ : ۱۴۶] "They recognize him as they recognize their own sons." See also Surah Al-A'raf (157) and Ash-Shu'ara (197).
Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan — Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf
Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
43. 1. So He knows that I am His true Messenger and the caller to His message, and you are liars. 43. 2. By "the Book" is meant the category of books, and the intended meaning is the knowledge of the Torah and the Gospel. That is, those among the People of the Book who became Muslims, such as Abdullah bin Salam, Salman al-Farsi, and Tamim al-Dari and others (may Allah be pleased with them), they also know that I am the Messenger of Allah. The polytheists of Arabia used to refer to the People of the Book in important matters and would ask them. Allah Almighty guided them that the People of the Book know, so ask them. Some say that by "the Book" is meant the Quran, and the bearers of the knowledge of the Book are the Muslims. And some have taken "the Book" to mean the Preserved Tablet (al-Lawh al-Mahfuz). That is, the one who has knowledge of the Preserved Tablet, meaning Allah the Exalted, but the first meaning is more correct.
Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran — Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani
Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
43. The disbelievers say to you, "You are not a Messenger." Say, "Allah is sufficient as a witness between me and you, and so is he who has knowledge of the Scripture." [55]
[55] That is, what difference does your denial make when Allah Himself is a witness to my prophethood? And He has already shown you many signs of my truthfulness and continues to show them, and among the People of the Book there are also fair-minded people who bear witness to my messengership, because there are many glad tidings about me in their books, and some of them have already accepted Islam.
