Emphasis on Bringing Sayyiduna Yusuf’s Younger Brother Along:

In the request of Yusuf’s brothers, their father and younger brother were also included. But the approval for one camel-load of grain per person was only for those who had come to collect the grain and were presented before Sayyiduna Yusuf ؑ. When he asked them about the remaining individuals, they said that their father is an elderly man and is not able to come, and that they had left the younger brother behind to look after him. Sayyiduna Yusuf ؑ said to them: Look! Your father truly may not be able to come. However, next time when you come, be sure to bring your younger brother with you. This time, your request has been granted and I am giving you the full measure of grain. But in the future, if you do not bring your brother, I will consider you to have been lying. Therefore, in that case, you will neither receive any grain nor will you be able to approach me. In fact, do not even attempt to come to me.
