➋ { اِلَّا قَلِيْلًا مِّمَّا تَاْكُلُوْنَ:} means to clean only as much wheat from the ears as is needed for eating, and that too as little as possible, so that as much as possible can be preserved, and during those seven years, besides people, the straw can also be used for animals. Both medicine and Shariah agree on the emphasis of eating less. Its limit was stated by our Noble Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) as a few morsels, he said: [ فَإِنْ كَانَ لَا مَحَالَةَ فَثُلُثٌ لِطَعَامِهٖ وَثُلُثٌ لِشَرَابِهٖ وَثُلُثٌ لِنَفَسِهٖ ] [ ترمذی، الزھد، باب ما جاء في کراھیۃ کثرۃ الأکل : ۲۳۸۰، و صححہ الألبانی ] "If you must eat more, then keep one part of your stomach for food, one for drink, and one for breath."

The Interpretation of the Dream by Sayyiduna Yusuf (Joseph) ؑ, Its Remedy, and the Explanation of All the Events to Come:
Sayyiduna Yusuf (Joseph) ؑ immediately gave the interpretation of the dream. Not only did he provide the interpretation, but he also suggested a remedy for the impending calamity, and this was the prophetic insight or the knowledge granted by Allah Almighty, which became the first step towards his reaching the highest ranks. He ؑ told the cupbearer: "Look! Seven years of prosperity will come upon you. During this period, you should act with thrift. Use only as much grain as needed in those years, and leave the rest in the ears. After these seven years, there will come seven years of famine. During that period, you should use the grain that you had stored in the ears during the previous seven years. One benefit of keeping the grain in the ears is that it will not be infested by insects. Secondly, the straw will be useful for your animals during the years of famine, and this grain stored in the ears will suffice for your years of famine. In fact, some will even remain for the seeds of the next year's crop."
