Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

(Ayah 30){ وَ قَالَ نِسْوَةٌ فِي الْمَدِيْنَةِ … : ’’ نِسْوَةٌ، نِسَاءٌ‘‘} and {’’ نِسْوَانٌ ‘‘} are all plurals of {’’اِمْرَأَةٌ‘‘}, but not from the word {’’ اِمْرَأَةٌ ‘‘}. (Qamoos) Because {’’ نِسْوَةٌ ‘‘} is not a real plural of {’’ اِمْرَأَةٌ‘‘}, instead of the verb {’’ قَالَتْ نِسْوَةٌ ‘‘}, : {’’ قَالَ نِسْوَةٌ ‘‘} has been used, because in the case of a non-real plural, this happens. In the entire Quran, {’’نِسَاءٌ‘‘} has been used everywhere; only in this verse and in verse (50) of this surah, {’’ نِسْوَةٌ ‘‘} has been used twice in total. The reason for this is that {’’ نِسْوَةٌ ‘‘} is the pattern of a plural of paucity, which is used for three to ten, unlike {’’ نِسَاءٌ‘‘} and others, which are also used for abundance. It appears that the wife of Aziz had invited only a few select women to this gathering. {’’ شَغَفَهَا ‘‘} refers to the membrane of the heart, meaning it has entered inside the membrane of the heart. Some have also interpreted shighaf as "suwaida al-qalb" (the core of the heart). {’’ تُرَاوِدُ فَتٰىهَا ‘‘} (she seduces her slave): these women used the present tense instead of the past tense {’’ رَاوَدَتْ‘‘} (she seduced), indicating that she still does not refrain from it, rather she continues to seduce him.

Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

30. 1. Just as fragrance cannot be hidden behind veils, the matter of love and affection is the same. Although the Aziz of Egypt advised Hazrat Yusuf (علیہ السلام) to ignore it, and certainly this incident never came upon his blessed tongue, even so, this event spread like wildfire and became a common topic among the women of Egypt. The women began to wonder that if one had to fall in love, it should have been with someone of beauty and elegance; how is it that Zulaikha became infatuated with her own slave? This is nothing but her own foolishness.

Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
