Say (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه و سلم): "This is my way; I invite unto Allâh (i.e. to the Oneness of Allâh - Islâmic Monotheism) with sure knowledge, I and whosoever follows me (also must invite others to Allâh i.e. to the Oneness of Allâh - Islâmic Monotheism with sure knowledge). And Glorified and Exalted be Allâh (above all that they associate as partners with Him). And I am not of the Mushrikûn (polytheists, pagans, idolaters and disbelievers in the Oneness of Allâh; those who worship others along with Allâh or set up rivals or partners to Allâh)."

Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

(Ayah108) ➊ The word { قُلْ هٰذِهٖ سَبِيْلِيْۤ اَدْعُوْۤا اِلَى اللّٰهِ :} "{’’ سَبِيْلٌ ‘‘}" is used as feminine, as it is here, and also as masculine, as He said: «{ وَ اِنْ يَّرَوْا سَبِيْلَ الرُّشْدِ لَا يَتَّخِذُوْهُ سَبِيْلًا [ الأعراف : ۱۴۶ ] It is understood that the path of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) and his followers is the call towards Allah alone, that is, worship of Allah alone and obedience only to His commands which were revealed to the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) through revelation. If someone calls towards the worship of anyone besides Allah, or invites to follow anyone else instead of the commands and matters revealed to the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) from Allah, for example, calls to the imitation of an imam or a spiritual leader, then he is neither calling towards Allah nor following the way of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), because what he is calling to has not been revealed from Allah; it is merely human opinion or thought.

{ عَلٰى بَصِيْرَةٍ اَنَا وَ مَنِ اتَّبَعَنِيْ … : ’’ بَصَارَةٌ ‘‘} means seeing with the eyes and {’’ بَصِيْرَةٍ ‘‘} means understanding well with the heart, that is, I and my followers are firmly established on the path of Allah with full thought and understanding. {’’ وَ سُبْحٰنَ اللّٰهِ ‘‘} because Allah is free from every defect and error. Worship of Him alone is the truth, and following His revelation alone is the truth, and whoever leaves this path is a polytheist because of worship and obedience to such beings who are not free from defect and error. Therefore, I can never be among such polytheists.

Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

18. 1. That is, the path of Tawheed is my path, rather, it has been the path of every prophet; it is to this that I and my followers call people with full conviction and with the proofs of Shariah.

18. 2. That is, I declare His transcendence and sanctity from having any partner, equal, likeness, minister, advisor, offspring, or wife; He is pure from all these things.

Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

108. Say: This is my way; I call to Allah with clear insight [102], I and those who follow me. Glory be to Allah, and I am not of those who associate others with Him.

[102]
The Prophet’s Call Upon Insight:

That is, the path upon which I am steadfast and to which I invite others, I tread with understanding and upon insight, and my followers are the same. I can prove with arguments and experience that the false deities besides Allah can neither harm nor benefit anyone. Furthermore, my conscience is fully satisfied with the fact that the Being who is our Creator, Owner, and Sustainer alone truly deserves our worship. If anyone else is associated with His worship, it is the height of injustice. Therefore, neither am I prepared to do the deeds of the polytheists, nor are my followers.
