إِلَـٰهِ ٱلنَّاسِ ﴿3﴾

The Attributes of the One Who Grants Refuge from the Evil of Satan:

In the first three verses of this surah, three attributes of Allah Almighty are mentioned, and refuge is sought from Him. First, that He is the Sustainer of all people. He knows very well what harm a certain person can suffer from the evil of another. Second, that He is also the King of all mankind, meaning He has complete authority and control over people and full control over apparent causes. Third, that He is also the Ilah (the One worthy of worship). And within the meaning of 'Ilah' is inherently included that He hears the cries of everyone and can help them, and He has control over all hidden causes as well. In reality, only such a being is worthy that people seek refuge with Him from the evil of others. He can grant refuge and can also protect from the evil of others.
