Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim — Hafiz Abdus Salam Bin Muhammad Bhutvi
Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
(Ayah 32){قَالُوْايٰنُوْحُقَدْجٰدَلْتَنَا … :} When they were rendered helpless before the arguments of Noah (peace be upon him), and Noah (peace be upon him) continued for a very long period (950 years. Al-Ankabut: 14), day and night, explaining the oneness of Allah to each individual and to entire gatherings (see Surah Nuh), neither tiring nor losing courage, instead of his people bringing faith or requesting Allah, "O Allah! If what Noah (peace be upon him) says is true, then open our hearts for it," they demanded the coming of Allah's punishment. This is an example of how shirk deprives a person from following reason and the divine nature to such an extent, and also that whether the polytheist is from ancient times or from the Ummah of the last Prophet (peace be upon him), both become equally devoid of reason. See the prayer of Abu Jahl and the polytheists of Makkah to Allah in case the Prophet (peace be upon him) is true, which is mentioned in Surah Al-Anfal (32).
Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan — Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf
Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
32. 1. But even then, we did not believe.
32. 2. This is the same folly that misguided nations have been committing, that they kept saying to their prophet that if you are truthful, then bring down punishment upon us and destroy us. Whereas, if they had any sense, they would have said that if you are truthful and truly Allah’s Messenger, then pray for us that Allah opens our hearts as well so that we may accept it.
Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran — Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani
Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
32. They said: "O Noah, you have argued with us and prolonged the argument, so bring upon us what you threaten us with, if you are of the truthful."
[39] The period of Noah’s (peace be upon him) preaching was nine hundred and fifty years. He tried to make his people understand in various ways and devoted himself day and night to this effort. In the end, those people gave Prophet Noah (peace be upon him) the same answer that people who are helpless before arguments usually give, that is, “If you are truthful, then why don’t you bring the punishment you threaten us with, so that this daily repetition may come to an end.”
