Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim — Hafiz Abdus Salam Bin Muhammad Bhutvi
Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
(Ayah 25) ➊ {وَلَقَدْاَرْسَلْنَانُوْحًااِلٰىقَوْمِهٖۤ:} The circumstances in which the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was presenting the message of monotheism in Makkah were the same as those faced by the previous prophets before him. Therefore, from this point, the mention of previous prophets is being made as appropriate, and almost the rest of the surah is filled with this mention, so that on one hand, the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) may be encouraged, and he and the Muslims may be reassured that in the end, Allah’s messengers and the people of truth are certainly helped by Allah, and on the other hand, the objections of the previous nations and the responses of their prophets may serve as examples for him, and his people may be warned by the fate of the earlier disbelievers.
➋ Adam (peace be upon him) was a prophet of Allah; he and his descendants were all monotheists and upon the true religion. Then, due to the deception of Satan, the worship of elders began in the form of idol worship. The first messenger sent to the earth by Allah was Noah (peace be upon him), as mentioned in the hadith of intercession, and the details of the beginning of idol worship will come in Surah Nuh. The mention of Noah (peace be upon him) occurs 43 times in the Quran.
➌ { اِنِّيْلَكُمْنَذِيْرٌمُّبِيْنٌ:} Noah (peace be upon him) mentioned only warning because his people did not even express willingness to listen and obey, so they could be given glad tidings.

And We sent Noah [30] to his people, and he said, "I am indeed a clear [31] warner to you."
[30] The story of Sayyiduna Nuh ؑ has already been mentioned in Surah Al-A'raf, Ruku number 8, so those notes should also be kept in mind. [31] That is, I am clearly telling you which actions and deeds may bring about punishment upon you, and what are the means to be saved from that punishment?
