Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

(Ayah 24) {مَثَلُ الْفَرِيْقَيْنِ كَالْاَعْمٰى وَ الْاَصَمِّ وَ الْبَصِيْرِ وَ السَّمِيْعِ …:} Through an example, the image of something becomes clear and it becomes easier to understand. The purpose is that a believer is one who sees and hears, while a disbeliever is blind and deaf. Both are opposites and contrary to each other. Do you not understand how a blind and deaf person can walk on the straight path, who neither sees the way himself nor listens when told? That is why the disbelievers will say: «{لَوْ كُنَّا نَسْمَعُ اَوْ نَعْقِلُ مَا كُنَّا فِيْۤ اَصْحٰبِ السَّعِيْرِ [ الملک : ۱۰ ] "If we had listened or understood, we would not have been among the people of the blazing fire."

Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

24. 1. In the previous verses, both the believers and the disbelievers, the fortunate and the wretched, were mentioned. Now, by presenting an example of both, their reality is being further clarified. It is said, one is like the blind and the deaf, and the other is like the one who sees and hears. The disbeliever is deprived in this world of seeing the beautiful face of truth and in the Hereafter of the path of salvation, similarly, he is deprived of hearing the arguments of truth, and thus remains deprived of those things which would be beneficial for him. On the contrary, the believer is intelligent, sees the truth, and distinguishes between truth and falsehood. Thus, he follows truth and goodness, listens to arguments, removes doubts through them, and avoids falsehood. Can these two be equal? The question is for negation. That is, they cannot be equal. As stated in another place: "لَا يَسْتَوِيْٓ اَصْحٰبُ النَّارِ وَاَصْحٰبُ الْجَنَّةِ ۭ اَصْحٰبُ الْجَنَّةِ هُمُ الْفَاۗىِٕزُوْنَ" 59. Al-Hashr: 20) (The people of Paradise and the people of Hell are not equal; the people of Paradise are the successful ones.) In another place, it is stated as follows: "The blind and the seeing are not equal. Nor are the darkness and the light, the shade and the sun equal, nor are the living and the dead equal." (Surah Fatir. 19, 20) (وَمَا يَسْتَوِي الْاَعْمٰى وَالْبَصِيْرُ 19؀ۙ وَلَا الظُّلُمٰتُ وَلَا النُّوْرُ 20 ؀ۙ) 35. Fatir: 20-19)

Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

The example [29] of these two groups is like one who is blind and deaf, and another who sees and hears. Can these two be equal? Will you not then take heed from this example?

Who Are the Seeing and the Blind? A Comparison Between the Life of a Disbeliever and a Believer:

These two groups are the disbelievers and the believers. The disbeliever is both blind and deaf. He does not see anything of the signs of Allah’s power in the universe all around, and if someone tries to show him, he cannot hear because he is deaf. Now, consider: if a blind person is walking on a path, is there any possibility of him being saved from going astray or falling into a pit—especially if, even when someone tries to guide him, he cannot hear? In contrast, there is a person who can see the path himself and is journeying towards his destination in the light of divine revelation, and that destination is before him. If he ever becomes confused, there are also guides present whose voices he can hear and wants to hear. It is obvious that the chances of such a person going astray or falling victim to an accident are eliminated, and his safe arrival at his destination becomes certain. This is the clear distinction that exists in the journey of life between a disbeliever and a believer.
