Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim — Hafiz Abdus Salam Bin Muhammad Bhutvi
Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
The meaning of (Ayah 102){وَكَذٰلِكَاَخْذُرَبِّكَ … : ’’اَخَذَ‘‘} is to seize suddenly and swiftly, as it is said: {’’ فُلَانٌاَخَذَهُالْمَوْتُ ‘‘} death seized so-and-so. That is, just as the seizing came upon the previous seven nations of the prophets (peace be upon them) due to their oppression, the seizing of your Lord upon any oppressive town (and its people) is just like that. Abu Musa al-Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: : ۴۶۸۶۔ مسلم : ۲۵۸۳ ] "Allah Almighty gives respite to the oppressor, but when He finally seizes him, He does not let him escape." After that, he recited this verse." This verse includes every oppressor in every era. Someone from the Salaf said: "A kingdom can remain with disbelief, but not with oppression."
Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan — Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf
Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
12. 1. That is, just as Allah Almighty destroyed and ruined the previous towns, He is also capable of seizing the wrongdoers in the same way in the future. In the hadith, it is mentioned that the Prophet ﷺ said: ان اللہ لیملی للظالم حتی اذا اخذہ لم یفلتہ Allah Almighty certainly gives respite to the wrongdoer, but when He seizes him, He pounces suddenly and does not grant any further respite.
Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran — Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani

The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
102. And such is the seizing of your Lord when He seizes the towns while they are doing wrong. Surely, His seizing is painful and severe [113].
[113] That is, Allah grants respite to the wrongdoers, and the purpose of this respite is both to warn and to establish proof against them. But when proof has been established against a people and warnings prove to be of no benefit, and there remains no capacity in them to accept goodness and virtue, then at that time such a divine wrath descends upon them which is both extremely painful and deadly for them. And as a result of this punishment, sometimes even the very name and trace of that nation is wiped off the face of the earth.
