81. 1. Thus it happened. Can falsehood ever succeed against the truth? The magicians, no matter how much mastery they had attained in their art, whatever they presented was only magic and mere sleight of hand, and when Musa (Moses) ؑ threw his staff by Allah’s command, it eliminated all their tricks in an instant.
81. 2. And these magicians were also corrupters, who had learned the art of magic merely to earn worldly gains, and by performing magical tricks, they used to deceive people. How could Allah Almighty ever set right their corrupt actions?

When they had thrown, Moses said: "What you have brought is magic. Allah will soon nullify it. Allah does not set right the work of those who spread corruption [93]."
[93] In the Decisive Battle Between Truth and Falsehood, Truth Certainly Receives Divine Support:
When the magicians had displayed their tricks and the ropes and staffs they threw appeared to the people as if they were moving and writhing like snakes, and all the spectators became both frightened and impressed by them, at that moment Musa (Moses) ؑ said that what you have presented is indeed magic, and what I am presenting is not magic but a miracle granted by Allah, which will bring an end to all your tricks. The reason is that it is against Allah’s custom and wisdom that when a battle between truth and falsehood arises, and corrupters stand against a reformer, and the purpose is to establish proof, Allah would let the word of the corrupters prevail and the word of truth be subdued and overcome. Rather, in such situations, Allah helps the truth and makes the truth manifest as truth before all people.
