Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

(Ayah 79 to 82) ➊ {وَ قَالَ فِرْعَوْنُ ائْتُوْنِيْ …:} This story has already been mentioned in detail in Surah Al-A'raf, and it will also come in Surah Ta-Ha and Ash-Shu'ara.
{ مَا جِئْتُمْ بِهِ السِّحْرُ:} That is, magic is what you have brought, not what I am presenting. {’’ عَمَلَ الْمُفْسِدِيْنَ ‘‘} The magicians have been declared corrupters, who were supporting a polytheist oppressor and a claimant of divinity merely out of worldly greed.
{ وَ يُحِقُّ اللّٰهُ الْحَقَّ بِكَلِمٰتِهٖ :} With His words (His statements), that is, according to the promises He has made regarding making the truth prevail, He makes the truth come true. It can also mean that if He wills, with His word {’’كُنْ‘‘}, that is, with any of His commands, He makes the truth come true even without apparent means, or He makes the truth come true by the blessing of His words.
