Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
(Ayah 6){اِنَّفِياخْتِلَافِالَّيْلِوَالنَّهَارِ …:} The sun rises from a new place and sets at a new place every day, that is why one of Allah Almighty’s attributes is “Rabb al-Mashariq” (Lord of many easts). From this comes the shortening and lengthening of days and nights, the changing of seasons, the return of the same season after a year according to the solar year at the exact time, and among the countless things created by Allah Almighty in the heavens and the earth, there are certainly innumerable signs of Allah Almighty’s perfect power and His oneness, but only for those who fear Allah Almighty and avoid a bad end. If you want details of these signs, they are before you at every step and every moment, but what can be done for one who turns away? See Surah Yusuf (__XREF_105__). For major signs, see Surah Al-Baqarah (__XREF_164__).

6. Surely, in the alternation of night and day, and in all that Allah has created in the heavens [11] and the earth, there are many signs for those who are mindful.
[11] The movements of the moon and the sun are not limited to only the benefits mentioned above; rather, it is through their movement that day and night are created, and from them we obtain light during the day and night. From them, seasons are formed and crops ripen. When the moon is in its phase of increased illumination, the sap in fruits increases rapidly, and when it is in its phase of decreased illumination, this process slows down, and so on. In all these matters, there are countless signs of the recognition of Allah Almighty, and for those who reflect upon them, the greatness and majesty of Allah become completely clear to them. Therefore, they begin to fear disobeying Allah.
