So who does more wrong than he who forges a lie against Allâh or denies His Ayât (proofs, evidence, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.)? Surely, the Mujrimûn (criminals, sinners, disbelievers and polytheists) will never be successful!

(Ayah 17){فَمَنْاَظْلَمُمِمَّنِافْتَرٰى … :} That is, if I have composed this Quran myself, as you think, then I have fabricated a lie against Allah, which is the greatest sin. However, its being from Allah has already been proven by the above arguments. Even after this, if you deny its verses, then there is no one more unjust and sinful than you, and such sinners and criminals can never attain success.

So who is more unjust than one who fabricates a lie against Allah or denies His verses [26]? Surely, such criminals will never succeed [27].
[26] Who is More Unjust Than This?
What is meant by fabricating a lie against Allah is that a person invents or authors something himself and then attributes it to Allah, as was the belief of the polytheists of Makkah regarding you ﷺ. Such a person is also the most unjust, and if the Prophet is truthful in his statement, then the one who denies Allah’s verses is equally the most unjust, and there is no difference in the injustice of the two.
[27] Change in Ideology Changes the Standard of Success:
Falah (success) means to attain prosperity, but with a change in ideology, the standard of success also changes. For example, for a worldly person and a denier of the Hereafter, the ultimate success is to live a life of peace, comfort, and luxury, and to have a long life. Whereas for a religious person who believes in the Hereafter, the standard of success is salvation from the punishment of the Hereafter, although he too seeks success in both worlds from Allah. Thus, in this world as well, he attains whatever is destined for him, but he does not consider the supposed success of this world as the true standard of success. In this verse, the success mentioned refers to success in the Hereafter, meaning those who fabricate lies against Allah or deny His verses will never attain success in the Hereafter.
