قُلِ ٱنظُرُوا۟ مَاذَا فِى ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ وَمَا تُغْنِى ٱلْـَٔايَـٰتُ وَٱلنُّذُرُ عَن قَوْمٍ لَّا يُؤْمِنُونَ ﴿101﴾
Say: "Behold all that is in the heavens and the earth," but neither Ayât (proofs, evidence, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) nor warners benefit those who believe not.
قُلِ quli Say
ٱنظُرُوا۟ unẓurū See
مَاذَا mādhā what
فِى (is) in
ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ l-samāwāti the heavens
وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ wal-arḍi and the earth
وَمَا wamā But not
تُغْنِى tugh'nī will avail
ٱلْـَٔايَـٰتُ l-āyātu the Signs
وَٱلنُّذُرُ wal-nudhuru and the warners
عَن ʿan to
قَوْمٍۢ qawmin a people
لَّا (who do) not
يُؤْمِنُونَ yu'minūna believe

(Ayah 101) ➊ {قُلِ انْظُرُوْا مَا ذَا فِي السَّمٰوٰتِ وَ الْاَرْضِ :} That is, there are countless signs of Allah Almighty’s power and His oneness in the heavens and the earth for bringing faith, as He said: «{ وَ كَاَيِّنْ مِّنْ اٰيَةٍ فِي السَّمٰوٰتِ وَ الْاَرْضِ يَمُرُّوْنَ عَلَيْهَا وَ هُمْ عَنْهَا مُعْرِضُوْنَ [ یوسف : ۱۰۵ ] “And how many a sign within the heavens and earth do they pass over while they, therefrom, are turning away.” And He said: «{ وَ فِي الْاَرْضِ اٰيٰتٌ لِّلْمُوْقِنِيْنَ [ الذاریات : ۲۰ ] “And on the earth are signs for those who are certain [in faith].”

{ وَ مَا تُغْنِي الْاٰيٰتُ وَ النُّذُرُ عَنْ قَوْمٍ لَّا يُؤْمِنُوْنَ:} This can have two meanings: First, those people for whom it is not destined to believe, neither the signs benefit them nor the things that warn, nor the warning prophets and callers. The second meaning is that those people who have decided that no matter what happens, they will never leave the path of their forefathers and believe, for them neither the signs nor the warning prophets are of any benefit. {’’ النُّذُرُ ‘‘ ’’ نَذِيْرٌ ‘‘} is the plural of, whether they are warning miracles, signs, or prophets.

Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. 101. Say: “Look at what is in the heavens and the earth.” But neither signs nor warnings benefit those who do not wish to believe [109].

In the Presence of Stubbornness and Prejudice, No Sign of Allah is of Benefit:

For those who reflect upon the signs of Allah, every single thing in the universe can provide evidence for the recognition of Allah—even the leaves of trees, the fragrance of flowers, and their various colors and shapes present countless proofs of the existence of Allah and His Oneness. But those who, instead of reflecting, act with stubbornness, obstinacy, and prejudice, even tangible miracles prove useless for them; upon seeing them, they say that these are merely feats of magic. For them, no admonition proves effective, nor does the fear of Allah’s punishment and His grasp prompt them to bring faith.
